![]() I'm sorry I had to let it go for cash some time back (eventually sold the Ruger as well).Īnyway, I hope you get it. It was a very intuitive gun to shoot accurately. I don't know how the trigger would compare to your Woodsmand but I found my old Challenger III trigger to be better than the Ruger Mark III trigger. Keep that in mind if the gun actually comes with more than one mag. Classic Browning Challenger magazines run $150 each on eBay right now and is slowly turning into unobtanium with atomic decay. Be sure this pistol comes with at least one original magazine because they don't make them anymore. Classic magazines have a sharp heel where the latch catches on the bottom. The very earliest Challenger magazine design is different than ones sold for current Browning Buck Mark's. They also made Challenger II, and III's with slab-side barrels that are more affordable (less of a collectors item yet). Your price sounds actually sounds a bargain for an original Challenger. Original Browning Challenger I? It is a nice collector/shooter and not a cheap gun by any means (especially the older Belgian made ones).
